Jobs

What are Jobs?

A job refers to a specific task, project, or assignment that needs to be managed and completed. It serves as a unit of work that can be tracked, organized, and progressed through different stages within the Traedi platform.

Job stages refer to distinct phases or steps that a job or project goes through, typically representing key milestones or progress points in its lifecycle. These stages help in organizing, tracking, and managing the job efficiently from start to finish. Out of the box, Traedi comes pre-configured with four stages for effortless customization.

  • Lead phase. The lead phase refers to the initial stage of a job or project where potential customers express interest and provide their contact information, typically leading to further engagement and conversion.
  • Quote Phase. The quote phase represents the stage in the job management process where detailed estimations and proposals are provided to potential clients, outlining the cost, scope, and specific requirements of the project.
  • Work Order Phase. The work order phase refers to the stage in job management where a formal agreement is made between the client and the service provider, outlining the specific tasks, timeline, and terms of the work to be performed.
  • Completion Phase. The completion phase signifies the final stage of job management, encompassing the successful fulfillment of the project, the issuance of the invoice to the client, and the marking of the job as officially complete, ensuring seamless payment and closure.

With Traedi's automated stage transitions, you can experience enhanced organization, time-saving efficiency, and increased profitability, as it seamlessly manages job progressions, keeping you organized and allowing you to focus on tasks that contribute to earning more money.

Scheduling a job

Scheduling a job in Traedi is simple and flexible. One convenient method is through the sidebar's schedulable jobs feature. Jobs with a scheduling-enabled status will be displayed in the list, allowing you to drag and drop them onto the calendar effortlessly. Additionally, you have the option to manually schedule a job by clicking "schedule" in the top right corner and entering the job details directly.

Hint: You can change between different calendar views. If you're scheduling for your staff, you may prefer to use the schedule view. Here you can drag jobs onto a team member and it'll automatically be assigned to them.

Automatic Stage Transitions

Jobs should transition seamlessly through actions you perform on a job. For example, a job in the quoting stage that is in the Quote Required column will automatically transition to Awaiting Confirmation when a quote is created. With automated workflows, you won't lose track of what stage your jobs are in.

Hint: Everything is highly customisable. You can add, edit or remove statuses from each stage, change what events trigger status changes, what statuses are appear as schedulable jobs on the calendar and so much more!
